Biologically rare & interesting, though creepy. For the Hindu community she was born in, religiously sacred. For the doctors who are performing the operation, a medical first.

The mother was pregnant with co-joined twins, but the other one stopped developing, so there was an extra torso, arms, and legs (but no head). If you watch the video of her while her parents were being interviewed before the surgery, it is eerie! I am so glad the parents decided to go ahead with the surgery, though, as many of their villagers believe the girl is the reincarnate of Lakshmi (who the girl is named after), the Hindu goddess who had 4 arms, and did not want the parents to change her.

Although they are sad that the parents decided to go ahead with the surgery to remove the extra limbs, they are wanting to build a temple for her!

haha - well, there is a video, which is creepy (I feel BAD saying that about a little baby girl, but it IS creepy) - you should use the Wii to get online and look at it on the bigscreen TV.
