This is the general forum, meaning, that anything can be talked about here. If there is another forum specific to something, please put it there. Also, technical support is not handled through here so don't ask tech support about Maddian things. Tech support on other things can be fine if there is not already a forum for it.

Well, Mair had asked a question about posting her brain processes in a digital format, yet be able to keep them to herself. There are a lot of different ways to do said event. Realize, most places let you post as private, so just make sure that you set your default as such.
- http://www.livejournal.com - very popular, also has the ability to have existing friends such as myself and monkeybone be your "friend". while you may not show most of your entries, it does allow you to post public things from time to time that do show up on their list of friends. you can also tag entries to make it easier information, if even only for yourself
- http://docs.google.com - allows word processing, which would be a way to keep an electric copy of your brain to access from anywhere at any time.
- http://360.yahoo.com - 360 gives you the added benefit of using an existing yahoo account if you already have it
- http://home.services.spaces.live.com/ - same as yahoo but for MSN
- http://myspace.com - you already have an account here, and there is a way to write down your thoughts via the blog link, and make them private
- http://facebook.com - similar to myspace, only a bit more on the private and "protected" side. anyone who has been on myspace most likely has noticed a large number of spam bots attempting to send messages. facebook does not have the same problem as they do
I will have something here... at some point...

I also know a lot of people that use blogspot.com. As a reader, I tend to like that one best. As a poster, I prefer livejournal - probably because that is the only one I have ever used enough to be comfortable with it. And I like the filtering options. You can make a post open to the public, friends-only, completely private, or you can make filters where only certain friends can read posts. Myspace sucks, in my opinion. The only reason I go there is to keep up with friends and post pictures.
