i wouldn't doubt it. they will continue to hire and hire and hire.
qwest is constantly having to replace folks like me in the "business office" - that is, sales/customer service. they are paid less than half of what my former co-workers and i used to make. they are paid about $10 per hour.
most of my former co-workers are gone. and, generously, only 20% of each hiring class lasts for more than 1 year in the job.
the door to qwest employment is a turnstile. they will always have to be hiring new folks.
OH, and of course! what Mair was describing in the repair dept. it's just new and innovative ways to replace higher salaried employees. no doubt that will continue. no doubt at all.
