:)) Hmm... I can prove the Bible is real... I see one right now!! As for the existance of God... well... I can do that however it will take me a little bit of time. I will get back to that one.

that is proving nothing.

I have a piece of paper that says God, oh it must be God by your definition.

I meant how does one know that its not just a bunch of randomness put together?

yeah, in regards to the Bible, that I was just being silly with that (I see it in front of course it exists)

In regards to God, however, the biggest proof I have is through personal experience, which is how most people get or keep their faith. However, as stated, there are protein structures that cannot come from single cell organisms. These proteins only can come from other proteins (similar to people can only ceom from genetic code of other people), meaning something put it there. Even if we did evolve from single cell organism, a larger force (non-mortal) would have been behind programming these proteins into existance.

Also, if you look at the miracle of birth, and all the situations that are required for it to work, and also look at natural law, and the fact that our own galaxy requires just the right of this and that for life to even occur, and the fact that it did... then science itself helps to prove that there is something out there larger than human understanding that at at least some point, helped to put things into motion. As to how it really goes from there... that is a more difficult thing to "prove", such as if the power at be be God or some diety(s) or the like. Also, if God does exist, the exact structure of His role in life can be difficult to prove. Meaning if God has everything pre-planned, if He interviens from time to time, or if He simply "sits back" and watches his creations at work (similar to taking a bunch of ants, putting them in a cage, and doing nothing from there, not even feeding them).

To that, by the way, I might state that it only seems logical from what little I can know about God that if He had everything predestined, meaning that no matter what I do or think God put it there, then that would NOT be free will, something that it is stated we had. The 10 Commandments would make no sesne... I would do whatever I was going to do because God put that script in my brain to carry out. As for doing absolutely nothing, that also makes no sense since God has a plan... and to be all powerful and have a plan, means that something is done. That would leave the fact that God does intervine but chooses not to dictate all.

I know you were joking.

And THAT is what I wanted (what you put in now) so that is what you meant by those proteins? I didn't exactly understand when you told me to write that down. did you ever find out about those?

I found out a little bit more somewhere, however, I do not remember where I saw it

I have tried to look them up, but I do not fully understand it, so I do not know exactly what to look up

well, it would most likely be under a creation science, and it would deal with the fact there are some complex proteins that can only exist by being created by other complex proteins. so that is where one would start

I shall have to look it up when I have more time and internet access

I think that is known as being 'Irreducibly Complex', a term that I recall is used alot by anti-darwinists. eg. Irreducibly complex engines in the tail of sperm that cannot have evolved, since taking a part of the tail out would have rendered it inoperable.

Not a very good example, but I'll try and elaborate when I remember.

okay, that would be cool...

the proteins, however, are ones that I believe are associated with DNA, or maybe RNA... or something similar to the building blocks of our genetic coding

What gets me excited is when or if we discover intelligent extra-terrestial life. That would really spark some religious arguments...

Yeah, people are really going to fly off the deep end when it happens. Take any movie that gets all excited by alien discovery for the first time (ID4, War of the Worlds, etc) and multiply it by a few billion... that will be Earth. If it happens and they are semi-intelligent, maybe I will ask to be taken with so I will not have to put up with it.
