Scream (please?)

Postby madd74 » Mon Aug 27, 2007 15:59:15

Well, for the first time, I have actually watched Scream. I had it on my DVR for a little while, and just watched it since FFXI was doing server maintainence and I could not play.

I think everyone who has ever enjoyed a horror movie has seen this movie, and only slow people, like me, and people not into these type of movies, like Mair, are left... oh wait, I jsut saw it :D

I have been a fan of Mathew Willard, and honestly wanted to watch the series so I could watch 3, which has a cameo with Jay and Silent Bob that I wanted to see.

I think what I really enjoy about this movie is attempting to keep ahead (and failing) on who is doing what where to who, and why. The acting by most of the people was decent, especially for a "slasher" film. I know that Scream has been done in many ways, and I have not seen most of the other types of movies, however this is a film that I enjoy, if anything for the ending. I actually think the climax of the movie towards the end makes this movie. I also applaud Craven for making one of the only R rated slasher movies that did not use nudity to sell the movie. Sure, it has an all-star cast, however, many slasher films attempt to use sex to push their movies, and in many instances, that means crappy acting (because we have big-boobed naked hot chicks having sex, so who needs acting?) If I want to see naked, I will watch porn. If I want crappy acting, I will also watch porn. I approve of this movie, it is excellent!
I will have something here... at some point...

you know, if you want to see naked, you could just watch your girlfriend instead of porn :-p

I thought the Scream movies were more comedy than horror. Probably because it's cheesy horror I guess.

You may be surprised (sounds like you will be) to know that I saw that movie in March of 1997 IN THE THEATRE.
Thank you very little.

Uh, your point was that I hadn't seen the movie. So I've disproven your point.

I can most definitely agree with that, which I think is true of most spoof movies. If you watch the original, you can see more humor in it.

the only thing about scream is that it won't make sense to a lot of people because a lot of those jokes are going on at the time. . .

I don't think even watching the movie "Scream" (I have to make sure I don't go off topic) would make Scary Movie funny. I don't think all the pot in the world could make Scary Movie funny
