there was no video to that, however, thus, it would have only been a game, with no video

Centipede, Zaxxon, and Turbo still remain my favorites... oh, wait, then there's Missile Command, Asteroids, Mouse Trap, Dig Dug, Galaga, Xevious... crap, I love 'em all!
And who of course could forget the legendary Gauntlet, right Madd?? "Warrior shot the potion! I've not seen such bravery!"

-lol- Ah yes, Gauntlet, the reason Game Genie was created, just to find out that did you absolutely no good at all. If you lived with or next to me, I would have bought it on 360...

do you have an atari here, Madd? My dad still has his that I am sure I can have someday. I am sure he is not ready to part with it yet, even though it hasn't been played in a very long time.

An emulator is a program that can play the ROMs of games. A ROM is a file that stores information of the game. It is the program. When you go out and by a NES cartridge, you are buying a large plastic device that holds a ROM inside. That ROM can be pulled out and stored on a computer, since it is just a program, and then an emulator can play it the same way your NES, Atari, SNES, or whatever would otherwise do.

Maybe not quite the same, but much easier than dealing with blowing dust off cartridges and connectors, sticky/non working joysticks, and outdated power supplies that threaten to explode without warning!
