Cubs sweep the Mets!! Cubs get their 6th CONSECUTIVE win!! This is the first time since 1983 since six consecutive starting pitchers have gotten a win in their start!!

Cubs take it 1 - 4, Matt Clement (3-1) had a no hitter going into the 7th, when he unfortuantely gave up a solo home run. This would, however, be the only inning that the Mets would get a hit. They would follow with another hit to leave the man stranded. Matt Clement would wipe out the turkey baster as he served 13 turkeys with K's, an all time high for Clement. This would also be the 8th consecutive errorless game for the Cubs. Still hanging onto first place, THE CUB'S WILL SORE IN TWO THOUSAND AND FOUR!!

Playing the Mets is like playing my home town little league.

 especially with their playing of late... however, the fact is last 6 games... and we only played them for 3 games, meaning we beat someone else also!

Yeah - Pittsburg twice and Cincy once. My high school girl's softball team playes better than both of those teams combined.

You REALLY need to do your research before posting such dribble. Check the history because baseball in general is all about the past.

Consistent with history, Cincy almost ALWAYS has a good April. They tank in May and June, have a decent July and then it's down hill from there.

And a reminder, in case your calendar is broken: it is APRIL. April doesn't mean squat, come October.

So misinformed...... *sigh*

haha!! History is just that. Someone better check the fact that any time you go from one season to the next, you have players go on the DL, players go off the DL, players traded to another team, players retired, players getting older, managers being changed, and the works. By your own logic the same exact teams would always end up going to the end of the season as the same. You are correct, it is April, and if a team misses going to the playoffs because they lost by 3 games, and those games were in April, then that there makes the difference between October baseball and not.

Misinformed nothing, I simply do not live in the past...
